Amazon.com Grocery Clearance Plus Extra 40% Off Code

I've written before about the advantages of buying some grocery items in bulk at amazon when the deals are right -- I've found great deals on soap and coffee among other things. Right now they have a clearance sale in their grocery section, and along with that a coupon code that reduces prices another 40%. So the savings can really stack up nicely.

The code is FBCLEVNT and it's valid until March 6th. But in the past, I've noticed that many items sell out before an event is over, so if you want to check out their biggest selection you may want to check it out quickly.

As a couple of examples, Reese artichoke hearts which retail for almost $4.00 a can, can be yours for $20.05 for twelve cans after the clearance price and code are applied, bringing the cost down to $1.67 a can. Bear Naked All-Natural Granola Snack Packs, Peak Protein, which are usually $2.00 for a two-ounce pouch, drops to $11.26 for twelve pouches, or under a dollar apiece. Genisoy Soy Crisps, which usually costs about $3.39 a bag, are available at $16.61 for twelve bags, or about $1.39 a bag.

Even some gourmet pet food can be had at a nice price. Newman's Own® Organics Advanced Cat Dry Formula, which originally is $16.59 for a 48-ounce bag, comes down to $17.00 for two 48-ounce bags after discount and code, meaning you can feed this to your cat for just $8.50 a bag. They also have dog food available, Newman's Own® Organics Adult Dog Food Chicken & Rice Formula, 4 Pound bag, normally costs $13.00 a bag, but buying three bags after the code and clearance gets a final total of $19.50 for three bags, or $6.50 a bag.

Realize that you're buying in bulk, so shelf-time may be a factor. You should look at eating habits, size of family, type of products etc. to make sure you're going to be able to use the amount of product. But there's a wide variety available, and you may find some items where your grocery savings add up.
