Microsoft has often had special offers for college students, such as the Office 2007 Ultimate package, and now that there's the new Windows 7 operating system, College Students can upgrade at the special price of $29.99.
Students must be currently enrolled in college and provide a .edu e-mail address. If your school does not provide you with a .edu e-mail, there is an option to provide copies of documents to qualify -- student ID card, class list and proof of class payment.
There's a Windows Upgrade Advisor tool on-line if you want to verify your PC can do the upgrade (most PCs running Vista will be able).
The offer is good until January 3rd. To check it out, click here.
