Free Accounting Software - Quickbooks Simple Start 2008 - Free Via Download from Intuit or Free After Rebate from Staples

If you have a need for accounting software, here's a chance to get the Simple Start level of QuickBooks for free. That level would be useful for many people with small businesses or side-businesses. There are two ways to get it free right now. Intuit has it as a free download from their website. If you prefer to get it as a CD, you can purchase it at Staples for $89.99 and receive an $89.99 rebate -- Staples even throws in the shipping for free.

The Intuit site doesn't indicate how long the offer will remain. The Staples rebate is for purchases until February 23rd.

Whether you want to get it from Intuit directly or get the CD version from Staples, the website would be a good resource to see if this version would be useful for you and your accounting needs.
