AirAsia Giving Away One Million Free Flights -- Intra-Asia or Asia-Australia

If you happen to be traveling to Asia anytime between April 1st and July 31st, 2009, here's a way you might be able to tack on a lot to your itinerary without tacking a lot to your wallet.

AirAsia has a promotion going on from August 26th through August 31st (I'm presuming the time zone is theirs so it's already August 26th in Asia as I post this). They will be giving away one million free flights! All you would need to pay is the applicable airport/security taxes and fees plus surcharges for fuel.

This airline does not operate in the U.S., this deal is for flights in and between China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, Macao, Myanmar, Philippines and Australia. But if you can find a nice fare to, say, Beijing or Singapore, then maybe this lets you turn your trip into something more dynamic and adventuresome. Maybe even explore both Asia and Australia in one grand adventure!

Again, this offer isn't for everyone, but maybe for a reader or two of mine, this could be a travel deal worth exploring. The promotion runs just the next five days to book, so you may want to get on board quickly.
