Looking to go to Europe later in the summer? You can still get some great deals -- better than many summer fares when rates have typically gone much higher. Right now there's a sale Travelocity has found on SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Even though the name refers to Scandinavia, you can use these sales to fly all over Europe.
They have roundtrip fares as low as $445, and just to check out some possibilities I checked Newark to Milan for late August, and including all the security/airport fees and taxes it came to just under $588.00.
There are all sorts of U.S. departure points available. Tickets must be purchased by July 14th and travel is valid from August 17th to October 24th, 2009. A Saturday-night minimum stay is required.
