Robots for Sale - Humanoid Robosapien $39.99; Roboreptile $29.99

If you have youngsters who are into robotics (or if you'd like one yourself), buy.com has a pair of deals right now for robots. The Robosapien 8081 is a humanoid figure, and the price has been cut to $39.99 (from $99.99 retail). And if your robot interest skews a bit more to the animal kingdom (or you want a companion for the 'human' one), they're also selling the Roboreptile 8065 for $29.99 (was also $99.99 retail).

Robosapien:
A tremendous advance in remote activated robotic function. Standing over a foot tall, this completely interactive robot can walk and dance, pick up and throw items, and also can deliver several combinations of strikes and chops. The fluid biomechanical motions are amazing. You can program up to 84 different action sequences, and utilize four program modes for advanced operations. Includes an easy-to-use infrared remote (requires the robot to be in line-of-sight). The Robosapien also sports an interactive reflex system comprised of six sensors that detect obstructions.

Roboreptile:
Comes to life through a combination of dynamic robotic animations and advanced interactive technologies. It's an impressive mix of powerful agility, multi-sensory awareness and a fiery personality with a low, menacing stride. Features realistic biomorphic movements including four-legged walking, high speed running, bipedal "attack" mode, a jumping action, flexible neck and whipping tail. Also features infrared vision sensors for obstacle avoidance, sonic sensors for detection of loud sounds and a touch sensor for responding to human interaction. Has five different modes, and can take a program of up to 20 commands.

Both of these robots require batteries which aren't included.
