Update July 11th -- Wow that was quick! The $10.99 availability has already disappeared off amazon. I'm reposting the $19.99 after rebate deal if anyone is still looking for a good price on an 8GB USB drive.
I had just found a post-rebate price of $19.99 for an 8GB USB Flash Drive, which was a very good price. But then I stumbled across an even better deal from amazon.com. They are selling the Kingston DT101N 8GB DataTraveler 101 with Secure Traveler for $10.99 right now.
Occasionally finding things on-line at amazon can bring weird results. If you search for this item, an amazon search reveals this item being sold for over $32 by a different vendor. But underneath it shows that others are available from $10.99. Clicking there brings up a screen showing that you can buy it new for $10.99 and the seller is amazon.com itself! Why they don't show themselves and their lowest price on the main product page is something I don't understand.
But getting 8GB on a flash drive will allow you a ton of files, photos and music to be used and moved around. Kingston is a highly regarded name in memory products. And getting it for less than $11 is really sweet.
Shipping would be free if you can combine this with other items and bring your order total over $25.
I don't know how long amazon will keep the price this low, so if you're looking for this size flash drive, I'd visit quickly by clicking Kingston 8GB Data Traveler.
