Considering a European trip in the fall or early winter? United has announced a fare sale that just might make you consider it a bit more. They have travel from a variety of U.S. departure cities to a host of cities throughout Europe on sale. Travel each way between New York and Munich is available at $232. Some other notable prices: Washington/Dulles and Frankfurt for $250 each way; Memphis and Munich are at $271, and San Francisco to Frankfurt is at $309 each direction. They also have destinations including Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Warsaw and more great European cities.
Airport and security fees are additional to the price of these fares, but they're still pretty attractive for some nice choices.
These sale fares have to be booked by August 5th. The best fares are available for travel Monday-Thursday when departing between October 27th until December 11th, or December 25th to 31st. Prices are higher for travel between August 18th and October 26th or for December 12-24.
If you plan a European trip and maybe want to hop around to a few different cities from your arrival point, don't forget to check at flylc.com. You can search there for flights on many European bargain airlines. If you're a new reader to the blog and haven't heard about flylc, here's my blog post about them.
