Looking to build up your music collection? Want to add an unusual piece of history? Here are a couple of items from amazon.com: first, they have the 1938 radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" by Orson Welles for just 99¢. It's a 47-minute recording that'll bring you back to a time when a radio broadcast could so powerfully make people believe the end of the world was near. (No internet back then to verify a story.)
The other deal is a list of over 500 songs that you can download absolutely free. There are a lot of lesser-known artists on the list but there are also some nuggets to be found. If you're looking for some new music, you might want to spend some time going through the list. The site offers you the option of sorting the list by artists' names, customer reviews, bestsellers etc.
To access the list of free music, click this link.
