The latest restaurant.com promotional code is out, and it gets you a nice 70% off the cost of a dining certificate. For those of you unfamiliar with restaurant.com, thousands of restaurants across the country participate and offer certificates valid for dining credit. Most of the dinner certificates get you $25 off the cost of your final bill, and usually cost $10 to buy. So with the promo code you can get them for just $3.00!

Some of the restaurants also offer $10 dining certificates, generally for use at lunch time -- those regularly cost $3 to purchase so right now you can get them for 90¢.

The certificates do come with some restrictions, such as needing to buy two entrees, or needing to have a $35 check to use the $25 certificate. The restrictions are restaurant-specific, and they aren't very difficult to reach easily, so these certificates really do work.

It's a great way to try some new restaurants, visit an old favorite more often, give your kids a chance to eat out while away at college, etc. Certificates are valid for a year, and can be used at any specific restaurant no more than once per month.
