Looking to light up Chanukah? Right now you can sign up at Chabad.org to receive your very own complete Chanukah kit.
Your free Chanukah kit includes a menorah, candles, an instructional pamphlet and even a dreidel for some traditional Chanukah fun.
The kit is complimentary. You pay only $2.99 to help offset shipping & handling costs.
A Note about Menorah Lighting on Friday:
The candles must be lit on Friday 18 minutes before sunset, but must burn until at least 1/2 hour after nightfall – a total of 1 and a 1/2 hours. The candles in this kit burn for only 30 minutes; designed for the other nights of Chanukah. As such, you will need longer-burning candles for Friday evening. You can likely purchase longer candles at a local store (they don't have to be specifically made for Chanukah), or at this link.
This year, Friday night is the sixth night of Chanukah, so you will need seven candles -- six candles plus the shamash ("attendant") candle.
