Restaurant.com Promo Code 70% Off -- $25 Dining Certificate for $3!

I guess with the holidays approaching, restaurant.com is working hard to get more of their certificates sold. They now have a 70% promotional code valid until December 11th, which makes a $25 dining certificate (which normally sells for $10) cost just $3. And for restaurants that offer $10 certificates usually good at lunch, those are reduced now from $3 to just 90¢.

In addition to buying certificates for specific restaurants, they also have a Dinner-of-the-Month club that offers a dining certificate per month. This can be a nice gift idea so the recipient can choose the restaurants at which they'd like to redeem the certificates. And the promo code applies, so you could get a twelve- month membership (regularly $120) for just $36, just a bit more than the regular price of a three-month plan.

These certificates come with restaurant-specific restrictions -- they can be the number of entrees ordered, the minimum check before the credit, exclude alcohol from the check or certain days of the week. But they're typically fairly reasonable to achieve and can represent a great chance to try a new restaurant or have another night at an old favorite.

If you look at the savings, let's say your check comes out to $36. You pay $11 and the balance with your restaurant.com certificate of $25 which really only cost you $3 now. Thus your $36 meal was yours for a total of $14. You should still tip on the full amount of the check, of course.

There are restaurants all over the country which participate. It's a great way to try a new restaurant, visit an old favorite a bit more often, or have some savings at restaurants when you travel. They can also be good for kids when they're away at college and you want to give them a break from dormitory food.
