An extra phone around the house can always come in handy, and a cordless phone can be an extra nice feature. If you can get one free-after-rebate, all the better, no?
Right now, Circuit City has a Uniden 2.4 Ghz Cordless Phone on sale for $14.99 and it has a $15.00 rebate! Not bad to add to your communications gadgetry without springing for too much.
It has call-waiting and caller-ID functionality, as well as a 10 number memory dial capability.
The rebate is valid for purchases till January 31st. Reviews on the Circuit City website vary -- some people love the phone and others are less enthusiastic; it may be a matter of the dynamics of each user's home, as cordless models can be affected by the structure and obstacles. If you can get it free-after-rebate, it still might be worth taking a chance to see how it works for you...
This probably works out as a better deal if you buy something along with it to bring the total purchase over $24 and qualify for free shipping.
Check out the Uniden Cordless to see if it's calling you.
