Bank of America has a nice promotion for cardholders, entitling them to free admission to over 70 museums nationwide on the first weekend of every month. There are a wide variety of institutions on the list, in 18 states. Considering the regular admission charges for many museums, this can turn out to be a very nice deal.
Among some highlights:
New York
- The Bronx Zoo
- The New York Aquarium
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Philadelphia
- Philadelphia Museum of Art
- National Constitution Center
San Jose
- San Jose Museum of Art
- Tech Museum of Innovation
San Francisco
- Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
- de Young Museum
Boston
- Museum of Fine Arts
Jersey City
- Liberty Science Center
That's just a sampling of the locations available. They include the following states: AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, NJ, NY, NC, PA, RI, TX, and WA.
If you have a Bank of America credit card or ATM card, you get into these institutions free on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month by showing your card and photo ID. The free admission offer is limited to the cardholder, and special events (i.e. ticketed shows) are excluded.
