Laptop Specials -- Compaq at Walmart $298.00; HP at BestBuy $399.99

I don't often post computer deals simply because of the variety of needs people have and the variety of configurations available. But for people looking for a full-featured laptop (as opposed to one of the smaller netbooks that have become available lately), here are a couple of deals you might want to consider. With kids going on to the next level of school, there may be some more needs to pick up a laptop at a good price.

Walmart is selling the Compaq Presario 15.4" CQ60-419WM Laptop PC with AMD Sempron SI-42 Processor for $298.00. I believe shipping is $7.97 if you can't find it in store (it doesn't look like this model qualifies for free ship-to-store for pick-up).

BestBuy is selling the HP G60-458DX Laptop with Intel® Pentium® Processor for $399.99. You can choose in-store pick-up or have it shipped for about $15.00.

Both of these have a lot of features that will meet many computing needs. Obviously given the price, the HP system is a bit more elaborate, with Intel® as opposed to AMD processor, larger RAM and hard-drive and a higher level of Vista. (Since Microsoft will soon be coming out with Windows 7 for upgrades, the starting level of Vista may be less important.)

At these price points, these two laptops may be worth checking out and comparing. Just click the links below.

Op® Graphic T-Shirt $1.44 Including Shipping

If you're looking for a bit of style, you can pick up a graphic T-Shirt with an Op® logo design (as worn by Good Charlotte) for just 72¢. And on top of that the shipping cost is just 72¢, so it's at your door for just $1.44. That's the deal right now from Walmart, and it's an on-line special only.

I have a feeling they won't stay in stock long, so you may want to check this out quickly. Click this link to take a look.

Free Nivea Body Wash: Men's Active 3 (for Wash, Shampoo and Shave); Women's Touch of Sparkle Body Wash

Picking up some free samples of Nivea Body Wash can help you save a bit on those costs for the essentials you need in the bath. You can try out products without shelling out for a large container, and if you keep picking up samples, you can spread out the time you need between purchases. You can even use them to stock a guest bath for company.

Right now, Walmart is offering samples on-line of Nivea Body Wash products, one geared toward men and one toward women.

For men, they are offering Nivea for Men® Active 3. This is a multi-purpose 3-in-1 product that can be used as a body wash, shampoo and shave cream.

For women they have a sample of Nivea Touch of Sparkle, a diamond-infused pearlescent cream-oil body wash.

I'm not sure how long the samples will last so you may want to go there quickly. To get the men's Active 3, click this link. To get the women's Touch of Sparkle, click this one.

Free Sample of Old Spice High Endurance Game Day Body Wash

Old Spice is introducing High Endurance Game Day, a body wash with a new scent. And to give you a chance to try it, Walmart is offering a free sample you can request on-line. Even if it's not for you, maybe you can toss it into the guest bathroom for your visitors to use.

The sign-up is quick and easy, and you can choose whether or not you want to review the item afterwards, and whether you want to get further e-mails from Walmart. The sample is available to US residents only, and arrives in about four weeks.

Free Sample of Lea & Perrins® Thick Classic® Worcestershire Sauce or Jack Daniel’s® Barbecue Sauce

Free food samples are a great way to save a little, but those little savings can add up. First of all, if it's something you might ordinarily buy, getting a free sample stretches the time between purchases. And if it's a new product you might want to try, it's a way to give it a taste without spending a few bucks on a regular-size package in the stores.

Right now, Walmart.com is offering samples of Lea & Perrins® Thick Classic® Worcestershire Sauce or Jack Daniel’s® Barbecue Sauce. It's a quick easy sign-up. And the timing is just right for the upcoming barbecue season. (As always I suggest using a separate e-mail account from your primary one for offers such as these.) Click this link to sign up.

By the way, exactly how does one pronounce Worcestershire?
