Today, December 14th: Double Cash Back from Hundreds of Stores via Ebates

I've posted occasionally about Ebates, a shopping portal that gives you extra cash back on purchases you make on-line from participating retailers. The extra savings can really add up, and on a day like today you can really score big. They have over 400 stores which have double or more in cash back for purchases made today, the 14th.

For exmaple, Barnes & Noble.com, which is usually 4% is 10% today. BlueNile.com, usually 3% is up to 9%. Dell Home, usually 2% is 6% today. To get the extra cash back, you just need to use ebates as the portal for that shopping transaction.

If you're not already a member click here to join ebates. Get a $5 credit just for joining and up to 25% off your on-line shopping at 800 stores! Read my earlier post on how it works.

Today is a nice day to shop for shoes, handbags and accessories at Piperlime, a division of Gap. With every order you place today, they will add a free $25.00 gift certificate toward your next purchase. There is no minimum purchase required; gift card purchases and final sale items are the only things excluded from the promotion.

Piperlime also doesn't charge for shipping, so what you see is what you pay.

If you want even a hair more savings, you can use ebates as the portal to get to Piperline and get back 2% of your purchase. If you haven't yet signed up for ebates, there's a link in the left column of this blog (you get $5.00 into your account just for signing up).

Stila Charmed Eye Shadow Palette w/ 24 Karat Gold for $10.00 at Sephora

You can make your makeup dollars go further right now at Sephora with a nice deal on a special limited-edition eye-shadow set. They are offering the Stila Charmed Eye Shadow Palette w/ 24 Karat Gold for just $10.00. It's limited to two per customer.

And if you add coupon code S7PB390 at checkout, they'll ship it to you free.

This palette features four highly pigmented shadow shades, all infused with genuine 24kt gold. Long revered for its skin-revitalizing properties, this luxurious metal helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and creates a rich, shimmering effect. (Well, that's what the website says, I've had no personal experience.)

You also get the choice to add three free beauty samples with your order.

Plus, as my sister reminds me, Sephora is one of those stores you can get a bit more cash back by using ebates as a portal before shopping there. To find out more about ebates if you don't know about the system, check out the info midway down the left column of this blog.

To check out the 24K Gold Palette, click this link (if you like it, you can always close that window and use ebates to get into Sephora and shop for it). And for the three samples, you can click this link.

Ink Cartridge Promo Code at Newegg - 20%-40% Off

Everyone knows that one of the biggest expenses of home computing is printer ink -- over the course of time, you spend more on ink than you probably did for the printer. Well, right now, there's a promo code at Newegg.com that reduces prices on a large selection of ink cartridges by 40% and others by 20%.

I was just able to stock up on a full set of refills for my Canon printer for about 35% less than I would pay at a local Staples, even after adding in the few bucks for shipping.

The promo code is EMCLNMX22 and it's valid for a limited time (they don't specify). So if you want to stock up on a refill, this might be a good time.

Among some of the cartridges which are getting 40%:
- Canon CLI-8Y, CLI-8M, CLI-8C, CLI-8Bk (or the CLI-8 Four Pack with all 4)
- Canon PGI-5Bk
- Canon BCI-3eBk
- Canon BCI-6Y, BCI-6M, BCI-6C
- HP C9351AN Black
- HP 51604A Black
- HP 88 C9396AN Black
- HP C9319FN#140 Black 56 Twinpack
- HP C6578AN 3 Colors
- HP CB435A Black
Laser Toner Cartridges:
- HP Q6000A Black
- HP Q2612A Black
- HP C7115X Black
- HP Q6001A Cyan, Q6002A Yellow, HP Q6003A Magenta
- HP Q5949X Black
- HP Q6470A Black
- HP Q7553X Black
- Brother TN360
- Brother TN-550 Black
- Brother TN115BK Black
- Brother TN115M Magenta, TN115C Cyan, TN115Y Yellow

On the pages for these they still show 20% with the promo code, but once you add them to your cart and apply the code, 40% is coming off.

There are many other ink cartridges also available where the code discount is just the 20%. The best thing I can suggest is seeing what cartridge your printer takes, looking for it at Newegg and seeing what discount gets applied.

Shipping on a single cartridge is $2.99 -- it may go up if you add a second cartridge to the order. It doesn't always follow the same pattern. I was able to buy the PGI-5Bk and the CLI-8 four-pack on the same order and get it all shipped for $2.99. But trying the BCI-3eBk and adding any of the BCI-6 colors raised the shipping price higher.

By the way, if you want to save a little bit more, don't forget to use ebates as a portal to get to Newegg. You'll get back another 2% into your ebates account. If you're not a member of ebates, scroll down the left column of the blog for an easy link to sign up and save more on your on-line shopping.

Ebates User? Double Your Rewards Today Only

For on-line shopping, I've mentioned ebates a few times as a way to get back a percentage of your purchases when you shop at many stores on-line. These savings can add up (I just got back a nice check for some buys I made over the last few months).

Last year I took advantage after Thanksgiving when they doubled their reward bonus for a day -- in some cases the cash back got up to 55%.

Well, today ebates is doing it again, doubling the amount they credit back to your account. All you have to do is go through ebates.com to get to the store -- once you're in the store it's just like having gone directly to their website. For more details on ebates (and how to sign up free if you're not yet registered), click this link to my post on them.

Coldwater Creek Sitewide 70% Off Coupon Code till January 2nd

I always like saving offers that are good for an entire store as opposed to just selected items... makes me feel like I can really go shopping for what would already be good bargains and then tack on the extra savings to make them awesome deals.

Now through January 2nd, Coldwater Creek is offering 70% off on all orders placed on their site. It's good for all items, even those in the outlet or clearance. They have a wide variety of women's clothing plus jewelry and shoes, but also have items for the home as well. There's a code of WLH4178 you can enter at checkout which should work, and I received an e-mail link that also said you could use SALE70 at checkout.

The site will have a banner that says everything is 60% off, but with these codes, the discount becomes 70%.

And if you want to make an even better deal for yourself, use ebates to access the site first and ebates will credit you 4% of your purchase into your ebates account. If you haven't registered yet for ebates, you can click here. They give you a $5 credit just for enrolling and you can get great extra savings at on-line stores.

Once you've registered at ebates, look at their list of stores and you'll see Coldwater Creek and 4%. If you click on that it will open up an ebates tracking ticket and then take you right to the Coldwater Creek website. You don't have to send in any receipts or vouchers for ebates, the order/credit is automatically tracked and credited on-line after you complete your transaction.

Ebates. Combine it with the promotion at Coldwater Creek and watch the savings pile up!

Ebates Double Cash Back Today Only (starts at 1:00 pm EST)

As part of Cyber Monday, eBates is offering double cash back on all purchases made through their web portal into participating stores.

This is on top of savings you can get from the sales at stores themselves (as well as the PayPal cash back if the store is participating in that).

For example, if you went to Dell via eBates, normally you would get 2% back but today you would get a 4% cash back bonus. Then if you pay with PayPal, you would get 20% back through them! If you ordered a Zune 30GB brown MP3/Video player through Dell E&A on sale at $100 from $200 regular price, you would see the $100 charge in your checkout, but your eBates account would be boosted by $4 when the transaction processes and your PayPal balance would have $20 restored at the end of January. Meaning the net cost comes down to $76.

Today would be a great day to cash in your $20 popcorn certificate from Dale and Thomas that I wrote about a few weeks ago. Their eBates 11% cash back would be 22% on an order placed later today!

A nice way of combining sales offers. It's valid from 1:00 pm today till 2:59 am November 27th.

If you haven't registered for eBates yet, you can do so clicking this link. Your account would start with a $5 balance even before you've shopped for anything!

So starting in 15 minutes, why not let eBates reward you for your shopping savvy?

Sephora Promo Code for 20% Off

If you like the beauty products offered by Sephora.com, you might like this too... use promo code FF2007 at checkout and you will receive 20% off your order.

If you visit Sephora.com via ebates, you'll also earn back another 4% of your order through ebates (plus for a limited time, a $10 bonus for enrolling with ebates).

A beauty of an extra little deal!

Golfers... Free Alignment Aid and Initials with Order of 3 Dozen

For my golfing buddies... golfballs.com is offering free IDalign with a purchase of 3 dozen golf balls. That's a mark they imprint on the balls which helps you align the ball on your swing and your putts. And they add your initials onto the ball, so you know it's yours.

(It's normally about $5 a dozen to have this done, so it's a nice little bonus)

If you're a golfer who'd like an edge to help improve accuracy (or know a golfer and looking for a unique gift idea), maybe this combination is what you're looking for.

Enter promo code LINEITUP at checkout to get the offer. It's valid through October 28th so hurry.

Now if you want to maximize your savings, go to ebates first (if you're not yet registered you get a $10 bonus for registering), and then click THEIR link to golfballs.com -- and you get 6% cash back on your order deposited into your ebates account! There's an image window at golfballs.com that shows products including the IDalign balls.

Free alignment with personalization and extra savings on top of that -- now you can really "address the ball!"

Foot Locker Promo Code 20% Off, Free Shipping Plus Another 5% Back via Ebates

If you have a sports fan in your life, you may be on the lookout for some deals for team-related items like T-shirts, replica jerseys, caps or the like. After all, gift-giving season is fast approaching!

Or maybe you're looking for a nice deal on athletic shoes...

Foot Locker.com has an on-line promo code that gets you 20% off your purchases. The code is THANKSMD. Also for a limited time they are offering free shipping on their website with no minimum purchase.

Also, if you go through Ebates to get to the footlocker website you can get 5% more back in Ebates cash! (Click on the Ebates link here to sign up and then look for sporting goods stores or look through the list of stores starting with F.)

A sweet combination of deals! Go, team, go!

Ebates - A Little Extra Money Back

I wanted to write about a website called ebates, which I ran across some time ago. I didn't want to write until I saw that it works. Well, today I received my first rebate check from them, so I wanted to share the information.

Ebates.com is a shopping portal for a large number of on-line stores, including almost all the big names and many specialty stores. There are over 800 different stores. They have names like Macy's, Target, Circuit City, Staples and a ton more. Each of the on-line stores has some offer if you use ebates, usually a percentage back for your on-line purchase. For many stores it's 1-2% but there are some with percentages of 5% back or higher -- some even at 25%! Some examples of stores and the current rebate level: Macy's 4%, Bloomingdales 2%, Broderbund 7%, Circuit City 2%, Home Depot 3%.

To use the system you would sign up here (you get a $5 bonus just for your initial sign-up!). Then when you find an on-line store you want to shop you click on the store's website link. That opens a tracking ticket on ebates which follows the transaction. If you complete a purchase during that visit ebates gets notification within a few days from the seller and then ebates credits your account with that amount.

It's important to note that only purchases which are done via an ebates portal entry can get credited. That means if you go directly to Staples.com and buy something there, you don't get ebates credit even though Staples is an ebates vendor. Only if you went to ebates first and then clicked on Staples.

What you can do if you are shopping on-line and are finding something to buy, you can empty your shopping cart from that visit (if you put the item in your cart) and close that window. Then open a new window and go to ebates, click on the seller's store name to open a tracking ticket and complete your purchase.

The list of stores is really very widespread -- sometimes I've missed out on ebates because I didn't check to see if a seller was on the list, like cheaptickets.com, which offers a $3 credit for a hotel, airfare or package transaction. So I'm going to try and double-check ebates before any on-line transaction.

To make it even more palatable, they offer a $5 credit for signing up (they won't send you the $5 till you add some purchases). So if you do shopping on-line, here's a way to get some of your hard-earned cash back in your pocket! Sign up now!
