They have the Casio KL-60L Labelmaker on sale for $19.99, and there's a $20.00 easy rebate (the kind you do on-line) for purchases of this by May 9th.

This is a really basic unit in terms of fonts, number of lines and styles, but it'll work for many uses you might have. This label maker has an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard and includes a 4-digit, 1 line, LCD display with one built-in font and 6 character sizes. With a resolution of 160DPI, the KL-60 can print in three sizes (12mm, 9mm and 6mm).

You can get it shipped to the store for free, or to your home for free if you order over $50.00 (maybe order it with one of the battery back-ups I posted earlier).

6-Outlet Battery Back-Up for Your PC, Tivo or Other Important Items $19.99

Protecting your important electric-powered devices during power outages is not only smart in terms of safeguarding data but also can make your money go further by protecting the life of those devices. Having a battery back-up for a PC will help protect your data since your system won't just shut off when power fails. But having one for other devices can give you some important protection too. Like maybe the Tivo that's connected to your TV, or other systems that might get harmed if power just shut off while they were running (your HDTV?).

This week, Staples has a very nice post-rebate price on a small battery back-up system that will give you a few minutes of power to shut off those devices a bit more safely should your AC power go out. They have the APC Back-UPS® ES 350VA 6-Outlet "Green" UPS on sale for $39.99, and there's a $20.00 easy rebate valid for purchases by May 9th that brings your cost down to $19.99.

The rebate is limited to ten per household so if you have multiple devices that could use this, you can get the savings on several.

This items features:
- battery backup power allows you to work through short power outages
- estimated backup runtime: 2-24 minutes (actual depends on power draw)
- 200W/350VA output capacity
- six outlets
- high-efficiency charger optimizes power use
- RJ-11 Modem/Fax/DSL protection (two wire single line)
- LED status indicators (replace battery and building wiring fault)
- low battery and overload alarms
- meets strictest global environmental standards
- utilizes packaging made entirely from recycled materials
- 5' cord
- three-year mfr. limited warranty

Orders over $50.00 qualify for free shipping (Premium Rewards members get smaller orders shipped free), so you may want to add another office supply or stationery item to bring the total over $50.00 for the shipping savings (you probably can always add in an ink cartridge for your printer). Or if you get two (one for the PC, one for the TV), then the total will ship free.

The rebate is one of those "easy rebates" you can submit on-line so there's no cutting up UPC codes and mailing in forms. It's issued in the form of a prepaid Visa card, not a check.

To check out this battery back-up and see if it will help secure your critical electrical devices, click this link.

p.s. If you're buying a few of these (or this plus some other items at Staples), take note of the $10 off $100 coupon code I posted a few days ago.

Another p.s. -- Use ebates as your portal to Staples and you can get another 2% back. See the info in the middle of the left column of this blog for ebates info.

Staples Coupon $10 Off $100, Good for Anything Except Computers

When you see coupons for places like Staples, Office Depot and others, they very often aren't valid for technology items so you can't use them for things like printers, software and the like. Well, here's a coupon for Staples that is valid for anything except desktop and laptop computers (except typical restrictions like gift cards and custom printing, etc.). It gets you $10.00 off any purchase over $100.00.

Now that savings may not seem like a lot, but if you happen to find item(s) you need on sale (or items with rebates), then it can make a nice deal a bit better. For example, I recently posted a deal for an Omnitech 4.3" GPS that's reduced from $149.99 to $104.99 with a $35.00 rebate that brings it to $69.99 -- well, you could apply this code to knock the price from $104.99 down to $94.99, which makes the post-rebate price an even sweeter $59.99. (The Omnitech GPS is still listed in the Hot Deals column at the right for anyone interested -- it's good till May 9th as well.)

The coupon is valid until May 9th. You can print it out for in-store use, or use it on-line or by phone using coupon code 22192.

To print out your coupon, click this link.
