I just noticed that the first post today was the 2500th since I started this blog. Whew! Is this blog of value to you and do you want me to keep going, or is it something that doesn't make much difference? Let me know! If there's something specific I should be doing more of, or less of, tell me what you'd like to see.

New Domain Name $1.99 First Year
If you are looking to have a website anytime soon, you can register a new domain name for just $1.99 right now at GoDaddy.com. There's an additional 18¢ ICANN fee applied to all website names, so the total comes out to $2.17.
This $1.99 offer is for new domain names only, unfortunately, and not for renewals of existing names. The regular price for a new .com domain name at GoDaddy is $10.69 so this is a nice little savings.
To get the $1.99 price, enter promo code geo199 during the order process.
If you already have a domain registered on GoDaddy, you can renew it now for 30% off the regular price by using coupon code PODFINDER30 or wallet30.
To search for a domain name you might be able to use and register it at the discounted price, click the link below.

Hot Deals List Updated -- Let Me Know If Deals Expire
I spent a couple of hours last night going through all the deals posted in the Hot Deals listing at the right to see which ones were still valid and which had expired. That should be up to date now, so if you haven't taken advantage of some of the deals you might have missed, you can check them out while they're still good.
I tried to group older deals together in some sort of sense (i.e. all the free music samplers at the lower end, some kids' stuff together etc.).
Down the line, if you find deals I've posted which are expired, send me an e-mail at deals@dealreader.com so that I can pull them off the Hot List more quickly and keep everything more useful for everyone. Thanks.

2,000 Posts -- Hope You've Saved a Bundle! Comments, Suggestions, Help Spread the Word
I just saw that earlier today was my 2,000th post. That's a lot of deals in just over two years. I've taken advantage of a number of them and hopefully you gotten some handy and/or fun stuff as a result. Something useful in your home or office. Some great software that's made your computer more productive. Maybe taken a trip you otherwise wouldn't have planned. Clicked on an ad or two that get placed on this blog and found some other great deals too. Gotten some nice gift items that brightened people's faces. And had some run reading and imagining (I still dream of those Tahiti trips I posted!).
I'd like to keep the blog going as long as I can, and if you have any tips or comments on things you like, things of which you'd like more or any other suggestions that make the blog work better, please send me comments by clicking on the comments link below this post. What are your favorite types of items? What's your best deal story? I think people would like to know, so if you comment, I'll post them.
Most of all, I'd like to spread the blog to more readers. If you have a circle of family, friends and acquaintances that might be interested in deals that can save them money, please forward the blog to them and encourage them to subscribe. It's free and I think eventually there's a deal for virtually anyone to enjoy.
So, please, let me know what's on your mind. Thanks!

I'll Be Back with More Deals Soon...
Sorry it's been a few days since I had a chance to post. I got a chance to take a short trip to Vegas, taking advantage of some great deals I got on hotel rooms and car rental, plus a nice airfare. Am sitting on the return flight right now, taking advantage of free wireless at the airport here. I'll be able to be back blogging later Monday -- thanks for your patience!

1500 Posts - Help Me Get More Readers
It's hard to believe this is my 1500th post. And my fingers haven't fallen off! I hope you enjoy checking out my blog and that I'm finding you some deals that are saving you some real money, or allowing you to get something you otherwise couldn't have afforded.
I appreciate your readership but am really hoping to see it grow even further so I'm hoping you can help spread the word about this blog. It used to be difficult to tell people the address when I was using the hyphenated blogspot address, but now it's much easier. A simple, easy-to-remember website address: www.dealreader.com.
Please consider sending this address around to your friends and family and telling them they can do the same. There's now an e-mail address at which people can send me news of other deals they've found for posting, so the more readers, the better the chance we all find even more bargains!
Thanks again for your readership, and if you want to send me feedback or news, drop an e-mail to deals@dealreader.com.

A New Shorter Name: dealreader.com
The address for this blog has always been a little long and cumbersome -- it takes ages to write down when people ask me about it. And maybe some of you would also like to tell family and friends about it but the long hyphenated web address was too daunting. So I'd like to announce that the blog has a new address people can use to access it:
Much simpler, no? The old address will still work if you have it in your favorites, all the subscriptions (whether by e-mail or RSS feeds) will still continue unchanged. It just will make it that much quicker for people to quickly share the blog's address and type it in.
There's also an e-mail address where readers can send me feedback, info on deals you've found and want to share, or other news for the growing dealreader community. You can send those e-mails to:
If you've been enjoying reading about the deals and think it might be interesting for your friends and family, please tell them to come visit dealreader.com -- the more of us the merrier!
