The code at Orbitz gets you $50.00 off a vacation package of three nights or more. So if you have any travel plans coming up, you can really save a bundle.

With the promo code a $25.00 dining certificate (most of which start at $10.00) would cost as little as $3.00. A $10.00 certificate would drop from $4.00 down to $1.20.

I've posted a number of times about Restaurant.com so most readers know how it works. Right now they have a promo code good through January 19th that has what's generally their largest discount of the month, 80%. So if a $25.00 dining certificate goes for $10,00 normally, right now it's $2.00 with the promo code.

But as I've suggested for people who like Restaurant.com certificates, the 80% time is a great time to do their Dinner-of-the-Month club. Not only do you get 80% off certificates but you get a bonus certificate for even greater total value. Also, you can use your certificates at the beginning of the following month when the inventory of the most popular restaurants get restocked. And third, even though you have paid the equivalent of just $2.00 for a certificate, you can trade in the certificate for any $25.00 restaurant certificate, even if their regular price was higher than $10.00.

Restaurant.com is starting off the year with a nice little promo code you can use to get some good savings at restaurants in your area of while you're traveling. It's early in the month, so most restaurants should have certificates in stock (as regular readers know, discounts get better later in the month when more popular places have sold out their quota).

Right now through Jnaury 12th, the promo code gets you half off their regular already-discounted certificates, and with each order you get a bonus $10.00 dining certificate.

The code is CHOW.

When they have a bonus code like this, if I plan on buying more than one certificate I do it in separate orders to get a bonus with each one.

Well, restaurant.com is bringing 2009 to a close with a steep promo code that also comes with a bonus per order. If you use promo code CHEER now through the 31st, you get 80% off AND a bonus $10 dining certificate per order.

Note that I say per order -- so if you want to buy several certificates at this promo discount, you can do them as separate orders and get a bonus for each one.

That means every certificate you buy brings even more value. If you are buying a $10.00 certificate (usual price of $4.00) it's you're now for 80¢, and a second one comes along free. That's a total of $20.00 of dining credit for less than a buck (96% off!).

If you buy a $25.00 certificate (most of those cost $10.00 but some are a bit higher), you can get it for as low as $2.00 now and get the free $10.00 certificate added, meaning a total of $35.00 of dining credit for as little as $2.00 (94% off).

A six-month plan (seven $25.00 certificates including the sign-up bonus, plus the $10.00 promo code bonus) is just $12.00 now, getting you $185.00 of dining. A 93% savings!

An annual plan gets you twelve $25.00 certificates, a free $50.00 certificate and this bonus $10.00 once, adding up to $360.00 of food credit for $24.00 with the promo code. That saves you 93% for the year.

The Dinner of the Month is a great deal now because you can get the discount but redeem the certificates at the start of a month when new inventory is in stock at the most popular hot spots!

This is one of my favorite deals and the one for which I hear great feedback, so take advantage before the year is out. It's also great for family members away at school or anyone else that would make a great gift recipient.

One of the best deals, though, when the code is as steep as 80% is the Dinner-of-the-Month Club. You can sign up for 3, 6 or 12 months and get a $25.00 dining certificate each month. And the 80% code knocks those down to a great value. But there are three more reasons Dinner-of-the-Month may be your best buy (and a great gift idea): first, there's a bonus certificate added free -- if you sign up for 3 months, it's a bonus $10 certificate. Well, it's the start of a new month, so the stock of certificates at Restaurant.com has been replenished. Some of the more popular restaurants which often sell out have got certificates available again. If you want to pick some of these up, you can get 60% off the cost of a certificate by adding coupon code LIST at checkout.

If a restaurant's $25.00 certificate normally costs $10.00 you can get it for $4.00; if the regular price for that restaurant's certificate is $15.00, it's just $6.00 now with the code.

There will doubtless be higher discount later in the month, but sometimes the most popular places have their quota sell out, so you can grab them at these savings. As I've advised before, another strategy is to get a Dinner-of-the-Month club membership when the promo codes are at their highest (usually 80%) and then use one of your vouchers at the start of the month when inventories are replenished.

With the $25.00 dining certificates, most of which normally cost $10.00, these cost $2.00 with the code. Their $10.00 certificates which normally are priced at $4.00, would be 80¢ after the code.

One of the reasons the codes are better toward the end of the month is that a number of the more popular certificates have sold out their monthly quota. That's why I encourage people to consider the Dinner-of-the-Month now. You can buy it now but not activate it till the start of a month and thus be able to use your certificate for the more popular places when they're back in stock. Plus you get a bonus certificate added in to your plan as well (so it's a better deal than just buying the certificates straight off). And if you like a restaurant where the $25.00 certificates cost $15.00 instead of $10.00, you can redeem your Dinner-of-the-Month certificate regardless, meaning you are saving even more on certificates for those special spots.

Restaurant.com has just issued their latest promotional code, with what's generally their biggest discount during the month, 80%. Regular readers of my blog know all about Restaurant.com, and the fact that when it's 80% that's the best time to order a Dinner-of-the-Month Club set-up.

The promo code is ENTREE and it's valid through November 12th.

If you're not yet a user of Restaurant.com, you can get certificates for dining valued at $25.00 or $10.00 at thousands of restaurants across the country. The regular prices for these are usually about $10.00 and $4.00 respectively (though some restaurants have raised the price for a $25.00 certificate to $15.00), and with the discount code those prices drop to $2.00 and 80¢. The certificates come with restaurant-specific restrictions, often a minimum of $35.00 check for dinner or $20.00 check for lunch. Generally the restrictions are easy to reach when going out to dine.

As blog followers know by now, Restaurant.com promo codes usually offer the greatest discounts at the end of months, generally starting a month at about 50% and ending up at about 80%. Occasionally they throw in some wild cards, as they did on 09/09/09 with a massive special discount, or other times by having some sort of bonus offer, like certificates to Dale & Thomas Popcorn or Lobstergrams.

Right now through November 5th, you can use promo code HARVEST and get 60% off certificates (making a $25.00 certificate that generally costs $10.00 available for $4.00) which is a pretty good level for this early in the month. Usually the deepest promo codes from Restaurant.com come at the end of a month, when a bunch of restaurants have sold out their quota. But right now Restaurant.com has already jumped up to the 80% level for four days, now through October 12th.

That means a $25.00 certificate that usually goes for $10.00 is now just $2.00, and a $10.00 certificate (usually for lunchtime) that normally is $4.00 is available now for 80¢.

Dinner-of-the-Month Club sign-ups are also available under this code. With a three-month plan (three $25.00 certificates plus a bonus one for $10.00) you pay just $6.00 instead of $30.00. A six-month plan comes down to $12.00 (you receive a total of seven certificates during the six months), and a twelve month plan comes down to $24.00 with the promo code -- with the annual plan, you get $350.00 worth of certificates, twelve for $25.00 and one for $50.00.
