Self-setting Clock Radio that Projects the Time $12.49 with Promo Code and Rebate

Linens 'n' Things is offering the Emerson SmartSet Time Projecting Alarm Clock Radio with deals that bring the final net price down to $12.49, less than half the regular price of $29.99.

This radio features a self-setting clock so the time stays correct and readjusts after any blackouts or power interruptions. Also, you can tap a button and the unit projects the time on a wall or ceiling -- easier than getting up to take a look at the time in the middle of the night. The radio is AM/FM with a rotary dial for tuning.

The price is $29.99 but if you use promo code FFOCT07 you get 25% off, bringing the checkout total to $22.49. Then there's a $10 rebate valid till October 31st, making the final price $12.49. You also can choose in-store pick-up to save delivery charges if there's a Linens 'n' Things nearby.

Here's the link.

A nicely featured clock radio for a good price makes this a timely deal!

Hot Offer! Restaurant.com Certificates 70% Off

Our friends at restaurant.com have unleashed yet another promotional code, at the eye-popping level of 70% off! The promo code to enter at checkout is TREATS. So a certificate for $25 of dining credit at one of their long list of restaurants drops from $10 to just $3.

I've mentioned restaurant.com several times in the blog, but for those of you who haven't yet checked it out, there are many participating restaurants which you can search by city or zip code, and you can choose how wide a radius to search. The terms for each restaurant are clearly stated, whether a minimum check amount, minimum number of diners, inclusion of alcohol in meeting the base price, etc. But for the most part, the conditions are fairly straightforward to meet.

The certificates are delivered by e-mail and are good for a year - if you have a favorite restaurant you can buy several certificates but you can use only one a month per restaurant.

When the bill comes, you present the certificate with the rest of your payment - and voilà! You've just had a wonderful meal and saved a pretty penny in the process.

Visit restaurant.com and see what's available in your area - you might be pleasantly surprised. And don't forget to add TREATS at checkout for the extra 70% savings. I'm not sure how long it lasts, but I'd guess from the word that it's till Halloween.

It May Be a While

I'm off on one of my bargains -- a trip to Europe! Woo-hoo!

Golfers... Free Alignment Aid and Initials with Order of 3 Dozen

For my golfing buddies... golfballs.com is offering free IDalign with a purchase of 3 dozen golf balls. That's a mark they imprint on the balls which helps you align the ball on your swing and your putts. And they add your initials onto the ball, so you know it's yours.

(It's normally about $5 a dozen to have this done, so it's a nice little bonus)

If you're a golfer who'd like an edge to help improve accuracy (or know a golfer and looking for a unique gift idea), maybe this combination is what you're looking for.

Enter promo code LINEITUP at checkout to get the offer. It's valid through October 28th so hurry.

Now if you want to maximize your savings, go to ebates first (if you're not yet registered you get a $10 bonus for registering), and then click THEIR link to golfballs.com -- and you get 6% cash back on your order deposited into your ebates account! There's an image window at golfballs.com that shows products including the IDalign balls.

Free alignment with personalization and extra savings on top of that -- now you can really "address the ball!"

Gillette Good News! Pivot Plus - 36 Razors Under $11

Razors... a fact of everyday life. After a while the blades wear down and you need another. Here's a chance to stock up on a disposable razor that people seem to like.

Its the Gillette Good News! Pivot Plus with Lubrastrip disposable razor. They come in packs of 12 and amazon.com has three packs (36 razors total) for $10.04 (less than half the original price of $22.00).

Razors don't grow stale or go back in your medicine cabinet, so why not stock up at a good price on something you'll need eventually anyway?

I've used Amazon for purchases of commodities when they have special offers, and if items keep, why not stock up for a long supply? I once got 75 bars of my favorite brand of soap for a total of $25 shipped (or 33 cents a bar) when supermarket prices were $1.49 for a three-pack when they were on sale (50 cents a bar) or $2.49 when they weren't (83 cents). The hidden benefit is that whenever I open a new pack of soap (75 bars lasts quite a while), I get a quick remindr of the bargain and a bit of a smile inside.

Here's the link.

If you add it with other items that total over $25 (maybe including the Magic 8 Ball below) they ship free.

So shave some dollars off and save! (Sorry 'bout that one)

Find Out What the Magic 8 Ball Is Saying...

We've seen them around, and they're a hoot at parties. The Magic 8 Ball that you ask a question, shake, and then look for the wisdom of the universe.

I think the universe would consider it wise to save money on one!

Right now amazon.com is offering the Mattel Magic 8 Ball, regularly $5.99, for just $3.00. If you make it part of an order totalling $25, the shipping is free.

Here's the link.

Do you think it's a good idea to save money? The answer is yes.

What Good Is a Portable Computer without a Carrying Case?

Could you use a carrying case to help bring your laptop from point A to point B? MacMall has a black carrying case with a full rebate so your final cost is free except for shipping! And isn't that a nice little price?

The case is for laptops with screens up to 15.4 inches. It's got padding to protect your laptop, pockets for your other paraphernalia and papers, a shoulder strap and more.

The rebate is valid till the end of the year.

Here's the link.

So if you need a laptop case (or could use a spare), here's a nice little inexpensive way to meet that need.

Restaurant.com Certificates at 60% Off with Promo Code

Well, the latest Restaurant.com promo code is in. This time it's a 60% off value, making the $25 certificate just $4 instead of $10! Have you taken advantage yet? These certificates offer tremendous value, but also minimize the risk of trying a new restaurant.

With the holidays coming up they can make great stocking stuffer for your kids away at college so they can get a break from dorm food. If you have family members living somewhere far away, it's a way to give them something practical they could use (maybe give several certificates adding up to really big savings in the coming year).

There are lots of ways to spread the savings around. Check out Restaurant.com, and add the promo code SWEET at checkout to activate the 60% off your cart. The code is valid till October 22nd.

I don't want to be too repetitive on how these work, so if you're not familiar, click on restaurant.com in the index of keywords in the left column.

Travel to London in Style for a Song!

There's an airline called MaxJet which lets all its passengers travel in better style -- the entire airplane is business class! No separation of sections with bigger seats and better service from coach sections with cramped seats and minimal service. Everyone is treated like a star! They ad been offering the service based on one low price across the plane of $999 each way from NY to London (Stansted Airport). More than coach but way less than business class in the traditional setting.

I have a friend who liked them so much, that on business trips to Germany, rather than fly coach non-stop he would fly MaxJet to London and then take RyanAir bargain airline from London to Germany!

Now MaxJet is offering some prices that may tempt you to join them for a London trip in style. The fares are valid for travel from November 16th through February 28th. The fare from New York is cut to $499 (plus the unavoidable airport/security fees) for travel Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Other days of the week it's still cut to $599.

Maybe even more eye-popping are departures from Los Angeles orLas Vegas, any day of he week, for just $599! That means on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays it's just $100 more than from New York, but on the other days the price to London from LA or LV is identical to flying from NY!!! I'd be surprised if you can find a comparable deal to Europe that includes the transcontinental departure...

Here's the link.

So if London is calling and you'd like to make the journey more of a pleasure, maybe these fares will do the trick!
