8GB USB Flash Drive $19.99 After Rebate

You know those handy little flash drives that let you pack tons of pictures or music for portable devices, files for storage or movement between PCs and also implement ReadyBoost for Vista. The amount you can store on those is really growing when you consider the price you're paying. Right now, buy.com has a Corsair 8GB Flash Voyager USB drive on sale from $49.95 down to $39.99. And there's a $20.00 rebate on purchases till June 30th, making the final cost $19.99. Free shipping is included.

With data transfer rates up to 31MB/s read and 16MB/s write, the Flash Voyager is fully Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compliant (and backward compatible with USB 1.1). On most operating systems, it supports Plug and Play. The durable rubber casing is easy to grip and water resistant.

This would be a decent price for a 4GB drive, so for 8GB you're getting a lot of bang for the buck. To check it out, click the picture.

Fly Miami to Lima, Peru for $289.06 Roundtrip

If you want to make a visit to Peru, it's possible right now to get roundtrip airfare as low as $298 roundtrip. That's a fare that's available on LAN Airlines right now. And if you book on-line, they'll take a 3% discount off the fare, bringing it down even a bit more to $289.06

The fare can vary a bit by day of the week and such, but that's what the roundtrip price showed as for a departure of July 9th and a return July 16th as an example. Lowest fares appear to be for travel on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.

The site also shows fares from New York for as low as $738 and from Los Angeles from $866 -- but you might be able to book a flight separately to Miami at a better price than the difference... I would think you could find New York-Miami for less than $440.

Airport/security fees are added onto the fare as with all airline tickets -- my search showed the fees on this ticket would be $70.30 for a final total of $359.36 roundtrip!

These low fares have to be booked by June 23rd and purchased at least 6 days before departure. Travel has to be completed by October 30th. You can stay as little as two days or as much as 3 months.

So if you want to make a visit to Lima and experience Peru, this price may make it more possible than usual. To search for flights, dates, etc., click this link to LAN.

When you consider the cost of the airfare, the price of the cruise is really eye-opening. It's almost as if you're getting the cruise as a bonus for flying there!

The typical airport/security fees for any airfare would be additional. To get this low price, the booking has to be made by August 15th, but if it's the right thing for you, book soon so the sailing doesn't sell out.

7-Night Alaska Inside Passage Cruise - Oceanview Cabins from $749

Update June 26th -- They now show a price of $749 for Oceanview on the July 26th sailing, even lower than the original offer. The July 19th sailing is $849.

If an Alaskan cruise is on your list of travel to-do's, Orbitz is listing cruises on Holland America's Statendam ship with oceanview cabins available at $799 for a July 5th sailing and a bit higher for later sailings in July.

The cruises have a 7-night itinerary that depart from Vancouver, travel to Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, cruise Glacier Bay and return you to Vancouver. The price is the same for an inside cabin or oceanview, so why wouldn't you take advantage of the oceanview price and have a bit more time to gaze at the beautiful vistas?

The price includes shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, entertainment and daily activities, on-board meals and some beverages, port charges and more. It does not include shore excursions, personal expenses, gratuities, or alcoholic beverages. Government fees/taxes are additional.

According to Orbitz:
The Statendam features impeccable service, mouthwatering cuisines, and relaxing nooks and beautiful art displayed thru out the ship.
The intimate reservations-only Pinnacle Grill offers an elegant dining experience with selected cuts of beer, seafood dishes and an extensive wine list.
The Van Gogh Theater is themed after the Dutch artist’s paintings “The Starry Night” and “Irises” and features a computerized fiber optic lighting.
Past guests rave about the beautiful public rooms such as the theatre, Crow's Nest and relaxing Explorer's café.

Hybrid DC/Solar Charger for Small Electronics $18.99

If you travel outside a lot and carry small electronics like cellphones, MP3 players, Blackberry etc., keeping them powered can be difficult if you're away from a power source for any long length of time. Right now, Golden Gadgets is selling a hybrid solar charger for $19.99 (usually $24.99). But if you add an optional iPod/iPhone adapter, the price in the shopping cart becomes $18.99 (don't ask me why... I just tried the deal and that's what came up for me).

They call it hybrid because it has two ways of capturing the power you can use when you need to recharge your electronic device. It has solar panels that charge in about 8-10 hours for times when you're on a camping trip, fishing etc.. It also can be charged with a DC connection which charges the unit in 4 hours. So you can charge it in your car before a day or two of hiking, camping etc. and have the power stored in the unit for when it's needed.

It comes with charging tips to fit a variety of devices -- mini-USB, USB, Motorola, Nokia, BlackBerry, and an optional iPod/iPhone Adapter (but as I said, you want to take this option since it saves you a buck). The unit is made of molded plastic to keep it light for easy mobility and has a built-in 2000 mah Lithium ion battery inside.

So if you have a use for some extra charging capability when you need your electronics and you're not near standard power charging, this may offer you some needed flexibility.

To get the 18.99 price in your shopping cart, go to the bottom section of the product screen and in the options box, click on "+1 iPOD/iPhone."

Sometimes I wish I coulkd improve my own memory plugging something like this in my ear!

Anyway, if you want to take a look at the specs and maybe buy one or two of these, click the picture below (the 1GB is first).
