Disney on Broadway -- Buy One, Get One Free Tickets for Mary Poppins, Lion King, Little Mermaid

Looking for a Disney Broadway treat early next year? Right now you can book tickets at specific performances of three Disney theatrical hits where they give you two tickets for the price of one!
"The Lion King," "Mary Poppins" and "The Little Mermaid" are all available with this buy one/get one promotion, and it's valid for some of the best seats in the house. Orchestra/Front Mezzanine seats average out to just $61.50 (reg. $121.50) per ticket. And you don't need to stand on a TKTS line in the freezing cold hoping to get half-price tickets.

I've tried to see if lower-category tickets are also covered, and haven't been able to get tickets -- I don't know if that means they're not part of this promotion or if those dates are just sold out.

The performances covered (unfortunately this promotion doesn't include the Christmas/New Year holiday season) are:

Mary Poppins:
Wednesdays 8pm: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28; Feb. 11, 18, 25; March 4, 11
Thursdays 8pm: Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26; March 5, 12

Wednesdays 8pm: Jan. 7, 14, 21; Feb. 25; March 4, 11
Thursdays 8pm: Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 26; March 5, 12

To get the two-for-one tickets, go to the appropriate link below and click on "Find Tickets" for one of the valid dates shown above (click on "View Times" for any date with multiple shows). Enter promotional code BGAA in the box marked "Promotions and Special Offers" and select the number of tickets (in multiples of 2). For best results, leave the seating type as "Any Price."

Each ticket has a $1.50 Broadway Restoration charge and a service fee of $7.00 per ticket is also added to the price of the ticket (this would be added for the tickets ordered over the internet regardless of the discount).

Megabus Giving Away 100,000 Free Bus Rides

A while back I wrote about Megabus and an amazing promotion where they were giving away 100,000 bus routes for free (you had to pay 50¢ for the reservation but that was whether you bought one seat, two or more). Well, they're back at it again!

Once again, they are offering to give away 100,000 seats on their buses early next year. This offer is valid for travel between January 14th and March 18th. For every route those dates, the first people to book won't pay a dime. Once the free seats fill up on each route, remaining seats will be offered at a huge discount -- starting at $1 each way.

You have to book the travel by November 28th, and enter GREENBUS in the spot for a promotion code.

Megabus serves states throughout the Northeast and upper Midwest. Among the cities they serve (the list is too long to include every one):
Atlantic City
Albany
Baltimore
Boston
Buffalo
Chicago
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Kansas City
Memphis
Minneapolis
New York City
Niagara Falls (Ontario)
Philadelphia
Rochester
St. Louis
Syracuse
Toronto
Washington, D.C

All Megabus coaches offer air conditioning, bathrooms, reclining seats and express service to each specified destination. Buses offer free Wi-Fi and video services too.

I'm sure these seats will be going fast, so if you are even thinking of a trip, you might want to hurry over to grab one of these freebies -- the most you have to lose is the 50¢ fee.

Here's the link to Megabus.

8" Digital Picture Frame $49.99

Looking for a photo frame for yourself to have at home or office, or maybe as a gift to put under someone's Christmas tree? Here's a nice price on a slightly larger frame. Buy.com is selling the Nextar N8-101 Digital Photo Frame for just $49.99. That would be a nice price for a 7" frame but it's even better for one that's got an 8" screen to let your photos be seen even bigger and better.

Not only does this support photos and slideshows in jpg format, but it will also support pictures you download in gif or bmp. But there's more -- it can also play your MP3 or wma music files as well as avi or mpeg-1 video files. So this frame is good for music and video as well as pictures.

It has a USB connection and also slots to accept the following cards loaded with your pictures, music and video: Secure Digital (SD) Card, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO. The frame also comes with a remote control.

To take a closer look and see if this frame would be a nice way to display your favorite photos with your favorite background music, click the picture below.

Airfare Sale on AirTran -- Book by November 20th -- Holiday Possibilities

AirTran is holding a sale on airfares booked over the next two days. The prices are attractive but I wanted to point this one out also because it may offer some options for people who want to travel over Christmas time. Many airfare blackout periods span from about December 19th through the end of the year, but the blackout dates on AirTran are a bit more scattered, so you might be able to use these lower airfares and travel for your Christmas needs.

Their blackout dates are as follows: December 20, 23-24, 26-28, and January 3-4, 2009. So you could still get these discounts flying the 22nd and fly back the 29th.

The sale covers travel completed by February 11, 2009. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 14-day advance purchase is required and tickets have to be issued by November 20th.

To check on airfare possibilities, click One-Way Flights from $45 on AirTran! (Expires 11/20/08) .
