I haven't posted too many deals on PCs and laptops because there are just so many variables in what people want/need -- although there are all sorts of deals floating around at various times for people looking. But I just ran across this deal, and for people looking for a little netbook with which to travel just to stay on top of e-mails, some web-surfing, maybe some Skype phone calls and some basic word processing etc., this one could come in handy without breaking the bank.
ToysRus® is selling the Asus 7 inch 8GB Eee Linux Netbook in Pearl White reduced from $299.99 down to $249.99 but then they take off an additional $100.00 when you put it in your cart, making it just $149.99. It even gets shipped to your home free.
This isn't a Windows computer, it runs the Linux operating system and comes with basic applications , wireless connectivity and a small webcam. It doesn't have a gigantic hard drive so it's not meant for heavy storage. But this isn't meant to be a main computer -- it's rally handy for traveling when your larger laptop (if you have one) would be too big and heavy to lug around. It may not be for everyone, but if you have that kind of need, the $149.99 price tag is noteworthy.
