Spirit Airlines -- $16 Roundtrips for $9 Fare Club Members ($56 for Non-Members)

Regular readers of my blog have seen me post many times about Spirit Airlines. They frequently have sales where they drop the price on certain routes on specific dates to very, very low prices. Generally to get the lowest prices you have to be a member of their $9 Fare Club, but often you can get low prices as a non-member too (although the annual cost of membership can be made up in the savings on just one flight).

Well right now they have one of these sales going, with one-way tickets on certain routes as low as $8.00 (member's price) for selected dates. If you can match up the dates in both directions, you could do a roundtrip for as little as $16.00. Non-members pay $20 more in each direction.

These special fares have to be booked before midnight, June 19th.

The fares shown don't include those airport/security fees that are almost always added to advertised airfares for all airlines.

There are also $8 flights between Fort Lauderdale and many spots in the Caribbean and to Cancun, Mexico too.

Spirit is an airline to keep in mind if you have some time flexibility and especially if you leave near Fort Lauderdale (or have reason to go there often).
