If you like the idea of creating DVDs to make and share movies with your friends and family, converting your videos so you can watch them on your iPod or Zune, creating slideshows and more, you may want to check out this software. Newegg is selling NTi Media Make 8 Suite Edition for $44.99, and there's a $44.99 mail-in rebate for purchases by December 17th.
They ship it for free so that makes the net cost nothing. This one has a short postmark date, though -- the rebate has to be submitted by December 31st.
The software has lots of features for all sorts of video and music applications, so if this is something in which you might be interested, you can read more details and place an order at this link.
p.s. If you want to save a little more, you can access Newegg through the ebates portal, and if you place your order during that browser visit, you get 1.5% credited to your ebates account (not much but more than the cost of the stamp to send in your rebate). You can read more about ebates by clicking the info in the left column of this blog -- if you've never registered for ebates, you can do that at this link and get $5.00 credit into your account.
